Every year the Kidlington churches join with fellow Christians around the world for the annual World Day of Prayer (always held on the first Friday in March).

The service this year was prepared by Christian woman from the Cook Islands. This group of islands in the South Pacific ocean, north east of New Zealand. The service reflects the rich and colourful Maori heritage of the islands and their deep connection to nature. They have chosen the theme, ‘I made you wonderful’.
The service is a chance to join with Christians throughout the world in sharing the same service on the same day and praying for the world of which we are all a part.
The service has been years in the making, having been written, discussed, revised and then translated for use in 120 different countries across all continents. It is wholly ecumenical and people from different churches in Kidlington took part.
This year our service was hosted by St Thomas More Church, where they had created a beautiful setting to celebrate God’s goodness.
